In the 1880s Oscar Wilde and Dr Arthur Conan Doyle meet regularly in the Whitechapel house of their friend, Jason Cleave. This darkly vital group study and relive the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Outside in the foggy streets The Ripper is at work.
But the young man, wild, wilful Jason Cleave has disappeared. Nobody knows where he's gone or what he's been doing. His elder brother, Sir Victor Cleave, arrives to investigate.
Painful soul searching, a makeshift nocturnal seance and the evidence of a beautiful woman reveal the terrible truth.
